The Best And Worst Days For Online Marketing:
If you're in a sales role where you're pitching a product or service to other companies, there's some advice that could come in handy. There are times of the year when things are good and times when things aren't so good. Every market is different, as I always mention in any advice I give, so this is more of a generalized theory than anything else.
Rather than go into detail about my rationale and explanation, I'll only list the best and worst times:
When is the right time to sell to businesses?
Nexcess Hosting, the Managed Commerce & Content Platform
* January and February are the first two months of the year. (A new year begins with a new set of numbers.)
* From the tenth to the twenty-fifth day of every month, except December. (Monthly meat minus bills)
* From the 5th to the 20th of December. (due to the holidays, this date has been moved up)
* December's final week. (Some businesses like to dispose of surplus funds to avoid paying taxes.)
* January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st (Typically first of each quarter for quarterly companies)
The Worst Time to Sell B2B:
* During any holiday season. (Companies can go out of business)
* The week before the tax filing deadlines. (Stressed business owners who are often faced with high bills)
* December's final week. (This is a hit-or-miss situation.) While it has the potential to be the best, it also has the potential to be the worst.)
* March 31st, June 30th, September 30th, and December 31st. (For quarterly firms, this is the end of the quarter.)
Weekends are off. (This is self-evident, but Saturday and Sunday are likely the worst days.)
These are, once again, generalized timeframes for business-to-business sales. When it comes to business to consumers, it's a whole different ballgame because customers enjoy weekends and holidays. You should try to sell at least once a day, 365 days a year, but concentrate on the prime, or best, selling times.
